Dr. Takacs holds various degrees and honors in Petroleum Engineering and is the chairman of artificial lift TIG of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the technical editor for the SPE journal Production and Facilities. Dr. Takacs holds a patent in the pressure-operated, single element gas lift valve and has written more than 70 technical papers.
