| | | | | | | | William E. Clark |  | William E. Clark has long emphasized strategy, tactics, and safety in the fire service. During his 20 years in New York City's fire department, he rose from the ranks to battalion chief; has been an industrial fire chief; initiated the statewide fire service training system in Wisconsin; and became the first head of county fire services in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Bill has lectured throughout the U.S., Canada, Asia, and South America; has taught fire administration, and strategy and tactics techniques. He founded the International Society of Fire Service Instructors and became its president, and he has served as chairman on the National Fire Protection Association committee on protective equipment for firefighters. One of only five Americans admitted to the highest level of the British Institution of Fire Engineers, he was chairman of its North American branch.
